Gateforth Cottages Cancellation Policy


Bookings made 30 days or more in advance of arrival date:


Deposit* paid for pre booked accommodation a full refund will be paid back provided that the cancellation is received in writing (email, fax or mail) by Gateforth Cottages 30 days prior to arrival date.

Deposit* paid for pre booked accommodation a refund of 50% will be paid back provided that the cancellation is received in writing (email, fax or mail) by Gateforth Cottages between 14 and 30 days prior to arrival date.

Deposit* paid for pre booked accommodation a refund of 25% will be paid back provided that the cancellation is received in writing (email, fax or mail) by Gateforth Cottages between 7 and 14 days prior to arrival date.

Deposit* paid for pre booked accommodation no refund will be paid back if the cancellation is received in writing (email, fax or mail) or by telephone by Gateforth Cottages between 7 days prior to arrival date and arrival date. Guests will also be expected pay the balance for the full amount for the accommodation reserved in their name.



Bookings made less than 30 days in advance of arrival date:


Deposit* paid for pre booked accommodation a full refund will be paid back provided that the cancellation is received in writing (email, fax or mail) by Gateforth Cottages 14 and 30 days prior to arrival date.

Deposit* paid for pre booked accommodation a refund of 50% will be paid back provided that the cancellation is received in writing (email, fax or mail) by Gateforth Cottages between 7 and 14 days prior to arrival date.

Deposit* paid for pre booked accommodation a refund of 25% will be paid back provided that the cancellation is received in writing (email, fax or mail) by Gateforth Cottages between 3 and 7 days prior to arrival date.

Deposit* paid for pre booked accommodation no refund will be paid back if the cancellation is received in writing (email, fax or mail) or by telephone by Gateforth Cottages between 3 days prior to arrival date and arrival date. Guests will also be expected pay the balance for the full amount for the accommodation reserved in their name.





* Deposit can be in the form of cash, cheque or credit card. Credit Card deposits (i.e. giving credit details number etc.) generally are not debited from the card (unless asked by guest to do so) - but held on file until the guests arrival and the full amount then debited. If the guest cancels and has used their credit card details as a deposit - the card will be charged with the relevant amount and a receipt forwarded to them.

Bookings made through wholesaler or other website - guests are asked to check wholesalers' policy.
